SYNOPSIS
ARA is a contemporary circus show that blends the traditional languages of theatre and dance with aerial acrobatics (multi- ropes and hair suspension). The performance is a profound sensory experience that brings together female strength, flying and the poetry of movement.
The show tells the story of a bird-woman who wants to fly free and escape the constraints of society as well as those she has created for herself. She will need to confront her fears, awaken her instinct and harness her feminine strength by contacting her ancestors and the natural world around her. Women from indigenous territories, who defend the Earth, will guide her on her journey.
